Draft for review. This document is a working policy draft and should be reviewed and approved by the service operator and Kenyan legal counsel before being relied upon for regulatory, app-store or third-party API submissions.
1. About the service
CampaignOS provides campaign-management software and a public election-information experience. Public information may include historical election results, candidate and party records, electoral geography, registered-voter statistics and calculated analytical indicators.
2. Informational use
Historical election information is presented for research, education and planning. Official historical facts should be checked against the relevant IEBC publication, Kenya Gazette notice or other cited source. Calculated indicators and planning scenarios are CampaignOS analyses, not official determinations, legal advice, financial advice, predictions or guarantees of election outcomes.
3. Data completeness and interpretation
Coverage can differ by election year, elective position and geographic level. Missing records are not zero values. Where source records conflict or are incomplete, CampaignOS may withhold an aggregate or identify the limitation. Changes in candidate, party or electoral boundaries must not be interpreted as proof of individual voter behaviour or political loyalty.
4. Acceptable use
You must use the service lawfully, respect the rights and privacy of others, avoid unauthorised access or interference, and not misuse the platform to distribute unlawful, deceptive, harassing or otherwise prohibited content. You are responsible for decisions made using information obtained from the service.
5. Accounts and security
Where account registration is available, you are responsible for providing accurate information, safeguarding your credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorised access. Account features may be subject to additional service terms and permissions.
6. Intellectual property and sources
CampaignOS branding, software and original presentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party source documents and public records remain subject to their respective rights and attribution requirements. You may not remove source attribution or represent CampaignOS calculations as official source publications.
7. Availability and changes
The service and its data may be updated, corrected, suspended or withdrawn. We aim to maintain availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every historical dataset is complete, current or error-free.
8. Enquiries and communications
When you submit a report or research enquiry, you must provide accurate contact details and consent to being contacted about that enquiry. Submission does not create a purchase contract or automatically subscribe you to marketing communications.
9. Limitation and governing law
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CampaignOS is not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of historical data or illustrative scenarios. These terms are intended to operate subject to the laws of Kenya and any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights that apply.
